AUTHOR VISIT TESTIMONIALS

“Laurisa Reyes is a delight to see in action. She creates an easy rapport with the students as they soak up her positive "can do" attitude. She poses interesting questions that gets the students thinking about fantasy writing and makes believing in make-believe even cooler than it already is.”

Candace Dardarian, California Readers Collection Chairperson

“Hearing Laurisa’s story of her writing journey inspired our students to be more creative with their own writing and not be afraid of failure. Since Laurisa’s visit her books have developed a waiting list in my library and the students are anxious for the next one to be released.”

Kathi Vogel, School Librarian
St. Bonaventure Catholic School/Huntington Beach, CA

“Laurisa's visit to our library was absolutely amazing!  The kids were so engaged and interested in everything she had to share with us.  I wish I had a copy of her book for every student to read because they all wanted to read it.”

Susan Townsend, Library
Helmers Elementary/Saugus, CA

“Ms. Reyes is a very motivating speaker. She really encouraged our students to persevere and follow their dreams. Ms. Reyes's presentation was highly engaging for students and adults alike!”

“I thought Mrs. White Reyes was an AMAZING speaker.  She held the attention of the entire group and had a wonderful message for everyone, even if being an author wasn't for you.  She taught the kids about never giving up and finding your MAGIC.”

Noel Clancy, Teacher
Vista View Elementary/Huntington Beach, CA

“When my students had the thrill of interacting with Laurisa White Reyes, they learned that the magic of a book is indeed created by a real person. It inspired them to set creative goals for themselves.”

Leslie Rose, Teacher
Rosedell Elementary/Saugus, CA

“Laurisa gave an engaging and compelling presentation to our 6th graders. The children were captivated by her and left wanting to hear more! We couldn't have asked for a better presenter for our 25th Annual Celebration of Authors Day.”

Nicole Herring, Parent Volunteer

"My fourth grade students are raving about your book and I have several of my reluctant readers proudly sneaking in time to read...even begging to have time to read your book. I love seeing their excitement over a book...a simple pleasure so many ignore nowadays. Thank you  so much for being here and sharing your gift with my wonderful kiddos!"

Margo G., 4th Grade Teacher

"Mrs. Reyes was an excellent teacher. She captivated the students with her inspirational stories. Students came up to me for days talking about the great time that they had listening to her speak and meeting her during the lunch."
