I love to visit schools, libraries, and homeschool groups. I offer a choice of two 45 minute presentations for 4th - 8th grade. (Visits to younger and older groups will be made on special request.) For TESTIMONIALS about my visits, please scroll down to the bottom.
ASSEMBLIES: For groups of two or more combined classes. I share experiences of how I became an author and encourage students to use failure as a stepping stone toward their own success. I bring my own powerpoint projector but do require a screen & microphone.

BOOK FAIR SIGNINGS: I am available to sign books at your school book fair (ie. Barnes & Noble, Scholastic, Mrs. Nelson's, etc.) Fees will be discounted or in some cases waived when my visit corresponds with a book fair.

AUTHOR VISIT TESTIMONIALS
“Laurisa Reyes is a delight to see in action. She creates an easy rapport with the students as they soak up her positive "can do" attitude. She poses interesting questions that gets the students thinking about fantasy writing and makes believing in make-believe even cooler than it already is.”
Candace Dardarian, California Readers Collection Chairperson
“Hearing Laurisa’s story of her writing journey inspired our students to be more creative with their own writing and not be afraid of failure. Since Laurisa’s visit her books have developed a waiting list in my library and the students are anxious for the next one to be released.”

St. Bonaventure Catholic School/Huntington Beach, CA

"My fourth grade students are raving about your book and I have several of my reluctant readers proudly sneaking in time to read...even begging to have time to read your book. I love seeing their excitement over a book...a simple pleasure so many ignore nowadays. Thank you so much for being here and sharing your gift with my wonderful kiddos!"
Margo G., 4th Grade Teacher
"Mrs. Reyes was an excellent teacher. She captivated the students with her inspirational stories. Students came up to me for days talking about the great time that they had listening to her speak and meeting her during the lunch."
